Talli Roland
Watching Willow Watts
For twenty-five-year-old Willow Watts, life has settled into a predictably dull routine: days behind the counter at her father’s antique shop; nights watching fuzzy telly whilst the elderly residents of Britain’s Ugliest Village bed down for yet another early night. But everything changes when Willow’s epically embarrassing Marilyn Monroe impersonation is uploaded to YouTube. A canny viewer spots Marilyn’s ghostly image hidden in the film and Willow becomes an international sensation. Her dire little town is suddenly overrun with fans proclaiming her to be the ‘new Marilyn’. Egged on by the villagers – whose shops and businesses are cashing in – Willow eagerly embraces her new identity, dying her hair platinum and scoffing cakes to achieve Marilyn’s legendary curves. But when the only man she has ever truly loved returns, seeking the old Willow, it’s decision time. Should she risk stardom and the village’s new-found fortune on love? Or is being Marilyn Willow’s real ticket to happiness?
Talli Roland has three loves in her life: chick lit, coffee and cupcakes. Born and raised in Canada, Talli now lives in London, where she savours the great cultural life (coffee and cupcakes). Despite training as a journalist, Talli soon found she preferred making up her own stories – complete with happy endings. Her first novel, The Hating Game, was an Amazon UK best-seller, remaining in the top 100 for over two months. Watching Willow Watts is available on Kindle now. Talliblogs here and tweets here.

Nightmarish female warriors with blue skin, fangs, and razor sharp talons, the Kreelans have technology that is millennia beyond that of the Confederation, yet they seek out close combat with sword and claw, fighting and dying to honor their god-like Empress. Captured and enslaved, Reza must live like his enemies in a grand experiment to see if humans have souls, and if one may be the key to unlocking an ages old curse upon the Kreelan race. Enduring the brutal conditions of Kreelan life, Reza and a young warrior named Esah-Zhurah find themselves bound together by fate and a prophecy foretold millennia before they were born. Publisher’s note: This book is the first section of the original novel IN HER NAME, which is now the omnibus edition containing the entire trilogy under one cover.
Born in 1963, author Michael Hicks grew up in the age of the Apollo program and spent his youth glued to the television watching the original Star Trek series and other science fiction movies, which continue to be a source of entertainment and inspiration. Having spent the majority of his life as a voracious reader, he has been heavily influenced by writers ranging from Robert Heinlein to Jerry Pournelle and Larry Niven, and David Weber to S.M. Stirling. Living in Maryland with his beautiful wife, two wonderful stepsons and two mischievous Siberian cats, he continues to work full-time while dreaming and writing.

A to Z Stories of Life and Death
A To Z Stories of Life and Death:  Twenty-six stories of life and death, based on the twenty-six letters of the alphabet, question our moral compass:  How do you judge a teacher toying with the sexuality of her teenaged student?  A boy who decides to murder his mother?  What thoughts rage inside a pedophile serial killer before he shoots himself?  They challenge the concepts of beauty, truth and morality, by revealing the face of the other side.
The stories focus on a crucial juncture when a character’s life changes, for the better or worse, because of a choice or decision. Some of the characters confront death, others talk about life with its quirks and whimsies.  Each voice, ranging in age from a six-year-old to a centenarian, has its own riveting story to tell.  Together, this collection of stories at over 12000 words attempts to prove that when it comes to stories, depth can sometimes replace length and breadth.
Author Damyanti Biswas lives more in her head than in this world, adores her husband, and loves her pet fish and plants. She is an established writer for magazines and journals.  Her short fiction has been published in the Quarterly Literary Review Singapore, Muse India, and in print anthologies by Marshall Cavendish, Monsoon Books, and MPH publications.
