Writing about a Crying Child

I was beginning to calm down over the weekend, but this picture unmade everything all over again.

Writing about a Crying ChildThis is Moshe, at the memorial service of his parents who were gunned down before his eyes, because they were Jews.

He is one of the many in Mumbai today, Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Christians, who are left orphaned, bereft. All because some “men” with unlimited resources, selfish motives, and black hearts put guns in the hands of boys, 17, 20, 25 years old, who smiled as they shot dozens of defenseless people, believing they were achieving “martyrdom“.

Shame on you, those who created these killing machines and set them loose on innocent bystanders.

Wherever you are, hope you are listening. Innocent people can only be pushed so far.

I hope there is justice in store for you, no matter how long its course or late its hour. Amen.

  1. Who gets up in the morning and says, “I’m going to go kill people I don’t know?” I can’t wrap my mind around this ….

  2. That is so sad and senseless. I don’t understand the point of religion anymore when all it leads to is hatred.

  3. There will be justice, Damyanti. It will come. It always does.

  4. So heart-wrenching, this photo, everything.
