Writing about a Rocking Friar

Writing is my second profession, I started off with literature, veered off madly, and came right back to writing.

Writing about a Monk Who Rocks

Writing about a Monk Who Rocks

I wish I had some of the verve of this rocking Italian Cappuchin monk though:).

Changing what you do every few years is guaranteed to keep you young, energetic, and full of life. I don’t think I will ever completely give up writing, but a few interesting career options come to mind.

Would you change what you do today if could? Want to talk about it?

  1. Oh, man, if I could change my career without costing my family financially, I would in a heartbeat. No questions asked, no hesitation.

But I still want to be a writer if I grow up.

    … I mean, when I grow up! :)
:), Darc, you already are a writer! Did you grow up without realizing it?

  2. That’s cool.

I used to switch grade levels, subject areas even change rooms or schools every so often during my twenty years as a teacher. It kept the passion alive.

Yes, I get bored easily, and changing what I do is a great way of keeping me alive and interested!

  3. Oh yes. In fact, I’m mid-switch. I’ve put the business I started 10 years ago up for sale and I’m looking for a steady paycheck. Nothing to “wow” about that but with kiddo number two in the house, it’s time to make some normal job decisions. That, and to be honest, I’m sick of my business.

All the best for your change TP. Knowing you, it will work out brilliantly!
    :)

  4. Kinda wish I’d had the brains/drive to be a biologist/ecologist. Still sometimes want to be a writer…

Indigo, your blog shows you are a writer, not an editor at heart. Why not give it a shot for real?

  5. I would, no second thoughts about it!

After all I’m stuck in a job that I’m not too passionate about. Throughout my life destiny has played a great part in what I have become, i have never once got anything (life altering i mean) that i wanted and had had to take what came my way.

I guess you are fortunate, you are doing what you are passionate about, right.
