Writing about Living the Dream

writing about living a dream

writing about living a dream

Writing about all sorts of stuff for the last few days, from belly fat to ballet dancing….the boring freelance writer’s life.

Some people live their dream, some are at least talking about it. Others, like me, have the dream at their feet, and keep kicking it around instead of just stepping into it.

I wish I would stop toying around with my dream life and just dare to live the dream!

  3. What keeps you from taking the plunge? Maybe the answer to that question will help you figure things out?

Writing for me now is a matter of poor use of time and a tiny bit of fear – not of failing but of success. The latter brings expectations that the former does not.

Where the bookstore is concerned it is money. It is a break even or a tiny bit better proposition at best right now and I know me. That wouldn’t be enough and get the thing to succeed would consume me and writing time. I also want to know what I am doing and the ropes a bit before plunging and need to figure out a way to involve my younger step-daughter, who hasn’t the money to invest right now nor the means to live without her own income.

I am all about the practical at the moment.

Some dreams are meant to be and some are meant to lead us to where we should be.

I am the hurdle to my own dreams Annie. And that can be quite painful.

  4. Dream on, Damyanti, and don’t stop. But do pursue your dreams in waking moments. You can do it. We all believe in you.

Thanks, Darc. Now if only I could believe in myself.

  5. Dear Dee, the same happened to me. I had some dreams in my life: to be an actress, to be a mother, to do an interesting job. I didn’t realize all my dreams, and now I regret . It’s a pity, because if yours dreams are achievable, dare it!
When I was younger, I had many fears and so I didn’t dare it. Now I’m stronger, but also older and I can’t do them any more and sometimes it’s frustrating. Once you have realized it, it’s too late, but not always. For example, you know, last year I reached you and your husband to Singapore by myself, I got on the airplane, I flew 14 hours,I met you and I lived one month in another country. It’s was beautiful, and I realized a dream and when I came back home I was richer and happier. I think this isn’t the kind of dream you are thinking. I think you are speaking about carrying out a plan for your life, maybe another job or another country. Some days ago, a friend, suggested me a link about internet called “second life” where you can live another life, but I haven’t visited it yet. By the way don’t waste your time. Fears, compromises, ruin our life every day. Opportunity only knocks once!
    A hug, your friend Ely

Thanks, Ely, you are wise as always. Spero di migliorarmi presto, e lo so che si deve avere corraggio….
