Writing in the morning is not as easy as I thought.
They tell you the mind is fresh, they till you it is still languishing in the world of the subconcious, it is easy to produce gems of creativity pulled out direct from the well-spring of your conciousness.
Hah.
I have discovered that the biggest enemy of writing is hunger pangs: while I should be thinking breakthroughs I end up thinking breakfast!

Hard to be creative on an empty stomach, and I can certainly relate to what you’re saying. I can’t do much of anything well in the morning. Even at work, I need to find menial things to do until I finish waking up.
Don’t feel bad. “They” can tell you anything “they” want. But “they” probably aren’t writers.

LOL! You could eat breakfast first and then write…I write in the morning, straight from the bed to the keyboard.

I keep your 1000 words a day in mind. I love the idea. It is challenging me to write more.
I haven’t yet achieved the 1000–unless you count the words in comments made to other blogs. . .

LOL, I write every morning at breakfast, maybe for that very reason! Usually it is a cup of tea and a scone or something. It’s just enough to keep the hunger at bay but not so much that it distracts from writing.

LOL! You can say that again! It’s nearly lunch here, and I’m still thinking breakfast!
Maybe we should just stuff ourselves before going to bed each night. Of course, then I would unavoidably be focused on other things when I awoke… ugh!

Darc, it is my writing class coach who says that, so I guess he knows what he is talking about! I have taken to early breakfasts nowadays, and it seems to be helping just a bit!
Kat, yes, that is what I have started doing, the problem is after the food goes down, I don’t think my poor subconcious can take the surface glare, and back it dives
Kym, my writing class has made me do it. Tho I wrote only about 500 today, it is still better than nothing at all! Hope you get to 1000 a day soon
Ridge, I am right with you there:)…thanks for dropping by my blog and the comment!
Loft, ….ugh! hahahahhahahahahahahha……I am going over to your blog now to see if you have gotten out of your “dishevelment”!
